CARE FOR UNASA

All forms of silver are prone to tarnish if exposed to air, sulfate, or alcohol-based substance. But here at Unasa Jewels, the luster and shine of our silver jewelry last longer as each one of our silver jewelry is carefully coated with a thin layer of Rhodium. To make it wearable 24/7.

TO ENSURE YOUR ITEMS STAY IN THE BEST CONDITION PLEASE REVIEW THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES

  • Store in a zip lock bag when not in use with silica inside. Make sure to clean it with a dry cloth to remove any water or sweat on it. ( included in our packaging)
  • Try to keep pieces apart so they don’t rub together.
  • Remove jewelry before using sanitizers, swimming, nail polish removers, perfume, or hairspray.
  • Keep silver jewelry away from harsh chemicals like household cleaning fluids as they create abrasions and reduce the luster of the metal. Dishwashing liquid doesn’t harm it.
  • Wearing it for a longer period increases its life as our body oil works as a shield against oxidation to happen.
  • Water and mild soap doesn’t harm your jewelry thus you don’t need to take them off before the bath but make sure to dry them off afterward.

Cleaning of Rhodium-plated Sterling Silver.

If you're not quite sure of what rhodium is, you might ask, "Is rhodium-plated sterling silver good?" If you're looking for luxury at an affordable cost, then rhodium-plated jewelry is for you.

Rhodium is a precious metal that comes from the family of platinum. It's durable, reflective, and scratch-resistant, as well as hypoallergenic. It gives a beautiful white sheen to your jewelry and can make Stones and zirconia stand out more than plain silver can.

Rhodium-plated Sterling Silver doesn't tarnish. It's scratch-resistant, keeps its shine, and doesn't corrode or dent. Best of all, it won't leave your hands green after handling it.

  • Clean jewelry with warm water and detergent-free soap. Soak for 10 minutes and no longer than 15 minutes. With your fingers gently rub the jewelry and with a soft toothbrush gently scrub the finer areas. (don’t use harsh strokes )Rinse off all soap with lukewarm water, place the jewelry on a soft towel and gently pat dry.

GOLD RHODIUM:

  • Please note, gold rhodium can wear off over time. Do not wear gold rhodium-platted jewelry on a day-to-day basis, that way you will enjoy your jewelry for much longer.
  • We Recommend Gold Rhodium platted as party wear. Storing guide is the same as storing silver Rhodium-plated jewelry.

Proper care and maintenance are necessary for any fine jewelry.
